CCHS Cross Country Show a Strong Performance at the UIL XC Region IV Championships
The Cross Country Varsity Boys’ and Gabriella Roiz represented Crystal City High School at the Region IV Cross Country Championships held in Corpus Christi, Texas at the Momentum Campus of Texas A&M. Gabriella Roiz ran an excellent race and had a very successful season receiving All District Honors. The boy’s team also had a strong outing. Matthew Puente , Jesse Jay Ruiz, Norberto Garcia, Frank Arenas all receiving All District Honors. Zachary Faz, Jonas Tapia, and Angel Rivera represented CCHS at the highest level of their ability all season. I would like to thank all the supporters and parents that followed us throughout the long season. The CCHS Cross Country Team was surprised and touched by seeing that so many Crystal City fans attended the meet on Monday, October 28, 2019. I would like to thank Athletic Director David Lopez and wife, and our faithful parents Mr. & Mrs. Peter Tapia and family, Mr. Frank Arenas and family, Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Ruiz and family , Mr. & Mrs. Norberto Garcia and family, Mr. & Mrs. Rick Rivera and family, Mr. & Mrs. David Roiz and family, and Mr. Jesus Perez and family for attending the XC Meet. I would also like to thank Coach Matthew Moreno for doing a tremendous coaching job with our CCHS Cross Country Teams; our accomplishments would not have been possible without his support.
