CCHS U.I.L. Competes in New Braunfels

On January 18th, The CCHS UIL Academic Team traveled to New Braunfels, TX to compete in the Canyon High School Academic Invitational. Andres Trevino placed 6th in computer application and Ema Cisneros placed 3rd. This past weekend, our academic team traveledto San Antonio to compete in the MacArthur High School Academic Invitational. Our competitors experienced success. Lisa Marie Escamilla placed 10th in Accounting, Liliana Gallegos placed 8th in Calculator Applications, Kaitlin Sanchez, placed 5th in Spelling and Vocabulary, Andres Trevino placed 8th in Computer Applications, and Ema Cisneros placed 4th in Computer Applications. A big congratulations to all our competitors on all the hard work they put in to prepare for their respective competitions.

US Border Patrol Visits CCHS

Border Patrol Agents from the US Border Patrol – Carrizo Springs Station visited the Crystal City High School Criminal Justice classes. Agent R. Lazcano and Agent A. Lozano, both Crystal City High School graduates, delivered a career based presentation informing the CJ students about the requirements, application and selection process, academy life, and the various duties, responsibilities, and opportunities for advancement in the United State Border Patrol. We extend a big THANK YOU to these agents for taking time out of their busy schedules to speak and inspire our young criminal justice students.
